Dress Code Guidelines

Mid-Ohio Christian Co-op seeks to honor Christ in all areas of our community life, including how we present ourselves.

Our dress code promotes modesty, respect, safety, and a distraction-free learning environment for students, parents,

teachers, and volunteers.

General Expectations

• Clothing should be modest, appropriate, and respectful.

• Dress should allow for comfortable participation in class activities.

• Clothing must not be distracting or draw unnecessary attention.

• Shoes must be worn at all times while in the building.

Modesty Guidelines

• Clothing must fully cover undergarments at all times.

• See-through, low-cut, tight, or revealing clothing is not permitted.

• Leggings, biker shorts, or jeggings must be worn with a longer top that covers hips and backside.

• Shorts, skirts, and dresses must be mid-thigh or fingertip length.

• Sleeveless tops must have a modest cut; excessively low armholes are not permitted.

• Pajamas, sleepwear, or costume-style clothing are not appropriate unless part of an approved event.

Logos, Graphics, and Messages

• Clothing may not display rude, vulgar, profane, suggestive, violent, or offensive language or imagery.

• Messages or graphics that conflict with MOCC’s Articles of Faith are not permitted.

Footwear

• Non-scuffing shoes are required to protect building floors.

• Footwear should be safe and appropriate for walking, stairs, and active classes.

Addressing Dress Code Concerns

• Dress code concerns will never be addressed publicly.

• Parents will be notified discreetly by a Board Member or Security Team member.

• Individuals may be asked to adjust clothing, change into alternate items, or return home and come back properly

dressed.

Final Authority

The MOCC Governing Board reserves final authority on dress code interpretation in accordance with the MOCC
