Our Leadership
Our Board members provide leadership and a welcome smile to all of our members. They serve on our governing board, charting a course for the future of co-op. Their gifts of vision, administration, hospitality, financial knowledge, oversight, and organization provide structure and stability for our group. Officers are elected by the membership at the unanimous recommendation of the board and serve 2-year terms, with unlimited renewals.

Vice President - Christy Huy is the homeschooling mom of Aiden who has been part of the MOCC family since 2015. Christy began serving at co-op almost as soon as she arrived by helping at the Security desk. Her service led to her becoming our Security Coordinator - a position she held from 2016- 2020. In her position as Security Coordinator, Christy helped co-op through the transition from the old building to our current building, established policies for the safe operation of co-op, worked with multiple other coordinators to ensure co-op was clean and safe for our students, and interacted with each and every member to make sure they had everything they needed to be successful in their experience at co-op. Christy also helped guide our co-op during the pandemic as safety and security became a top concern. In the fall of 2021, Christy stepped into the role of co-director at co-op and has taken her leadership and people skills from the security desk to serving the entire campus. We are deeply grateful to Christy for her willingness to serve at co-op from day 1! Her desire to grow, lead, and serve our group has been a wonderful blessing to our group! |

I have a bachelor’s degree in social work and was a Navy Corpsman for 8 years. My mom life has consisted of MULTIPLE moves, and I’m so thankful the Lord opened the doors wide open to homeschooling in the midst of them. It has been the most challenging yet rewarding undertaking of my life. During our time as a military family, I served and wore many hats, including assisting in coordinating MC wife’s groups, family events, and countless going away and homecoming celebrations. I started a preschool and Mommy and Me play groups at the base community center to give weary moms a place to connect and have a break. I was an American Heritage Girls leader, AWANA leader, and a tutor for Classical Conversations. I’ve served in multiple roles at the numerous churches the Lord has blessed us to be a part of over the years. However, my most cherished role has been wife, mom, and daughter of the Most High King. Now that my life is less filled with activities and events, you will find me planning my next road trip, geeking out on the latest health and wellness research, and trying to figure out how to grow and harvest ALL the things, all while blasting a podcast or hopping on Zoom for a Bible study or two with my girlfriends from afar. I’m currently studying to be a Functional Diagnostics Nutrition Practitioner and I offer Pulse Electromagnetic Frequency sessions at the local nutraceutical shop I work at part-time. I'm grateful to be able to serve our MOCC families as the Library Trustee during my final year of homeschooling and look forward to offering any assistance I can. |

Nicole Bettger - Hospitality - I’m Nicole Bettger, a proud mom of three and passionate advocate for personalized education. After years in Denver, my family returned to Ohio, where our homeschooling journey began during the pandemic. What started as a necessity became a deeply rewarding experience that transformed how I approach learning and teaching.
Homeschooling allowed me to tailor education to my youngest son’s needs, nurturing both his confidence and academic growth. This journey inspired my commitment to hands-on, creative learning and brought us to the welcoming Mid-Ohio Christian Co-Op community in 2024. With a background in business administration and 15 years in mortgage operations, I bring both structure and creativity to the classroom. I currently teach Creative Writing for Young Storytellers, Middle School Creative Writing, and Creative Art Explorers. I'm honored to serve as a trustee and excited to support the growth of our children in this vibrant learning environment. Thank you for the opportunity to be part of your child’s educational journey! |

Angie enjoys gardening, tending to her homestead, adventures with her family, and good coffee. Angie has been at MOCC since 2022.
